During today’s Conference on AI & National Security hosted by the Northwestern Security & AI Lab (NSAIL), we announced the availability of reports generated by the Northwestern Terror Early Warning System, or NTEWS. We plan to release monthly reports that leverage AI and Machine Learning to predict the types of targets the following six terrorist groups may attack during the next 1-6 months: Boko Haram, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Abu Sayyaf, Al Shabaab, JNIM, and Indian Mujahideen. Only publicly available, open source data was used to learn our predictive models.
We hope this will help those fighting terrorism better defend against possible future attacks.

The Northwestern Security & AI Lab released a FREE resource for journalists seeking to determine whether an audio, video, or image clip is likely to be a deepfake or not. GODDS (Global Online Deepfake Detection System) combines the power of AI and Machine Learning with a human in the loop process to help journalists.

One caveat: At this time, GODDS is only available to journalists who register with a work address.
